Description

The Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to manage and market a regional vanpool program. This program aims to encourage ridesharing among commuters, reduce traffic congestion, and improve air quality by offering monetary incentives for vanpools. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing vehicles that seat 7 to 15 passengers, ensuring they are no more than three model years old at the start of the agreement and no more than four model years old or 100,000 miles at any point during the contract. The contractor will also manage vehicle maintenance, licensing, registration, and provide essential equipment such as first aid kits and fire extinguishers. Additionally, the contractor will handle customer service, marketing of the program, and provide reporting to VVTA. The contract period is for three years with two one-year options for extension.
