Pharmacy Benefit Manager Services

Leander Independent School District (LISD) is requesting proposals for Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) services. The scope includes PBM services and/or other pharmacy-related point solutions, which may be offered on a stand-alone or combined basis. LISD operates a self-funded medical plan with a carved-out pharmacy benefit manager and has retained a Benefits Consultant for brokerage and consulting services related to these plans; proposals from brokerage or consulting firms will not be considered. Respondents are requested to include one option that closely matches the current plan design and formulary. LISD reserves the right to modify plan options annually. Pricing should not be influenced by the number of plan options, plan design, or the Medical TPA partnership. LISD is not subject to the U.S. Department of Labor Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) but adheres to Texas Education Association (TEA) rules. The benchmark state for this solicitation is Utah.
