Procurement of Two Power Transformers for Stevens and Fishhook Substations

Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. (MEA) is soliciting bids for two power transformers. The first is a 138/24.9 kV, 10 MVA power transformer for the Stevens Substation, and the second is a 115/12.47 kV, 20 MVA power transformer for the Fishhook Substation. Bids are due by 4:00 PM Alaska Daylight Time on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, via MEA's ShareFile site. A Notice of Intent to Bid is required by 12:00 PM AKDT on Friday, May 15, 2026, to FormalQuestions@mea.coop. Questions are due by 4:00 PM AKDT on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and responses will be provided by 5:00 PM AKDT on Friday, May 8, 2026, via addendum to those who filed a Notice of Intent to Bid. Liquidated damages for late delivery are $5,000 per week, up to 15% of the contract value. MEA reserves the right to require a Performance Bond.
