Kanawha County Streambank Stabilization Project
FARM PRODUCTION AND CONSERVATION BUSINESS CENTER
The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA NRCS) is soliciting bids for streambank stabilization services at two sites in Kanawha County, West Virginia: Sharon Hollow Road and Ohley Hollow Road. The project involves clearing designated areas, shaping channels, and installing measures to control erosion and minimize sediment and pollutant production. Key activities include mobilization and demobilization, establishing traffic control, managing surface and groundwater, excavation, and construction of earth embankments and fills. Site 1 (Sharon Hollow Road) will involve rock riprap with a grouted toe, including seeding and mulching, mobilization/demobilization, and foundation preparation. Site 2 (Ohley Hollow Road) will feature gabion walls and rock riprap for foundation preparation, along with seeding and mulching, and mobilization/demobilization. Bidders are required to submit bids electronically via email. A bid bond of 20% of the bid price is required, and a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit for 100% of the project cost will be required within 10 calendar days of award. The solicitation is a 100% total small business set-aside.
