Qualified Vendor List for Tree Work Services
City of Tucson Agency/City Wide
The City of Tucson is establishing a Qualified Vendor List (QVL) for contractors capable of providing a range of urban forestry services. This solicitation is open and continuous through March 16, 2031, with proposals being reviewed twice annually. The services required encompass routine and on-call urban forestry tasks, supporting the care, expansion, and protection of the city's urban forest. Services will be categorized into three groups: Mature Tree Maintenance, which includes routine services like pruning for clearance and safety, deadwood removal, structural pruning, risk and health assessments, and tree/stump removal; Tree Planting & Young Tree Maintenance, covering tree sourcing, planting, installation, and young tree maintenance; and Consultation, Outreach, Instruction, and Data Collection, which involves refining tree standards, conducting outreach, and providing training. Selected contractors will be placed on the QVL, allowing various city departments to contract services based on specific project needs, timelines, and budgets. This initiative aims to increase equity in contract access, foster workforce development aligned with the city's Community Forest Action Plan, and encourage long-term investment in the health and diversity of Tucson's urban forest.
