Athletic Travel and Charter Bus Services

Essex County College is soliciting proposals for Athletic Travel and Charter Bus Services to support various college activities including athletics, academic programs, summer youth programs, and student activity trips. Services will be provided on an "as needed" basis under an open-ended contract. The college requires vendors to provide a fleet of motor coaches with a minimum seating capacity of 52 passengers, equipped with restrooms, Wi-Fi, and charging capabilities, as well as smaller minibuses or shuttle vans with a minimum capacity of 20 passengers. ADA-compliant vehicles must also be available upon request. All vehicles must meet federal, state, and local regulations and safety standards, and preferably be seven years old or newer. Drivers must be licensed, certified, professional, and have a clean background and driving record. The contract will cover local and out-of-state trips, with vendors responsible for booking driver accommodations for overnight trips. The college does not guarantee a minimum number of trips or revenue. Vendors must be prepared to handle scheduling adjustments, cancellations, and emergency breakdowns, with clear communication protocols in place.
