Description

The County of Alameda is seeking a contractor to perform audits to locate and correct distribution and allocation errors in Transaction (sales) and Use Tax revenues. The contractor will be responsible for identifying and collecting taxes from individuals and businesses that have failed to pay or have underpaid taxes, and for correcting any billing errors. Services include preparing custom reports on major sales tax producers, analyzing tax activity, and providing historical growth comparisons. The contractor will also advise County staff to increase tax collections and provide projections for budgeting purposes. This is a three-year contract with the option to renew for two additional years.
