Hospital-Grade Mattress Inspection Services

This solicitation is for on-site hospital-grade mattress inspection services for the St. Cloud VA Healthcare System. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, transportation, tools, supplies, and equipment necessary for comprehensive inspections of approximately 316 hospital-grade mattresses annually. These inspections will include visual checks of mattress covers and internal cores for damage, staining, and fluid ingress, as well as testing impermeability and structural integrity. The contractor must develop an inspection checklist and submit a report of all failed mattresses, identified with blue duct tape. Services will be performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, and contractor personnel will be escorted by VA staff. The contract period includes one base year with four option years.
