The National Park Service (NPS) requires hazardous tree mitigation services within Dinosaur National Monument, Utah. This includes assessment of tree structure and health, followed by necessary mitigation, which may involve tree removal or pruning. The work will be performed in front country campgrounds and developed areas. It is estimated that there are 20-30 trees in the campground area and 3-6 in the housing area. Services must be performed in accordance with ANSI A-300 standards, with a focus on safety and minimizing disturbance to the natural habitat. Debris management will include various methods such as lopping, scattering, stacking, chipping, loading and hauling to a designated site, and/or removal from site, depending on the setting. A post-work report detailing assessment data, methods, and residual risk is required. The period of performance is scheduled for August 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.
