Rehabilitation of Bannister Creek Bridge

Nassau County is soliciting bids for the rehabilitation of the Bannister Creek Bridge (BIN 5520290) located on the Nassau Expressway (NY878) over Bannister Creek. The project scope includes repairs to the existing concrete culvert's construction joints, abutment walls, and top slab. It also involves scarifying the top slab and installing a waterproofing membrane, new approach slabs, milling and resurfacing of the asphalt wearing surface, and replacement of bridge railing, guide rail, sidewalk, and drainage systems. Additionally, scour protection will be installed, and new pavement markings will be applied. The anticipated Notice to Proceed for this contract is in the first quarter of 2027.
