General Obligation Bonds for Pawnee Elementary and High School Renovation
Community Unit School District Number 11, Sangamon, Christian and Montgomery Counties, Illinois
Community Unit School District Number 11, located in Sangamon, Christian, and Montgomery Counties, Illinois, plans to issue general obligation school bonds (alternate revenue source) not to exceed $1,250,000. These funds are designated for altering, renovating, repairing, and equipping the Pawnee Elementary and High School Building, as well as improving its site. The Bonds will be primarily payable from taxes collected under the County School Facility Occupation Tax Law. Should these revenues prove insufficient, ad valorem property taxes will be utilized. A petition signed by 200 or more electors can be submitted to the Secretary of the Board of Education within thirty days of notice publication, requesting a referendum on the bond issuance. If no such petition is filed, the District will proceed with issuing the Bonds.
