]http://www.sselder.orgSouth Shore Elder Services (SSES), a private non-profit regional Aging Service Access Point and Area Agency on Aging, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for its Older Americans Act programs for Fiscal Year 2027, running from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. SSES serves seniors, with a focus on low-income and minority individuals, in Braintree, Cohasset, Hingham, Holbrook, Hull, Milton, Norwell, Quincy, Randolph, Scituate, and Weymouth. The RFP covers three main categories: Title III B - Supportive Services, Title III B - Medical Access Transportation Program, and Title III D - Health Promotion Evidence-Based Services. Supportive services aim to assist seniors aged 60 and older who are needy, have disabilities, are socially isolated, reside in rural or urban areas, have limited English proficiency, or identify as LGBTQ+. Specific funding considerations include programs promoting independence, reducing loneliness, supporting technology access, and evidence-based health promotion activities. SSES reserves the option to extend funded grants for one additional year and encourages collaboration with other community agencies. Contracts will be awarded based on service quality, customer service, competitive rates, and demand. A Letter of Intent is required by April 13, 2026. Applications will be available on or before April 20th, 2026, via the SSES website (www.sselder.org). A virtual Bidder's Conference will be held on April 28th at 9:30 AM via ZOOM, though attendance is not mandatory. Completed grant proposals are due by 5:00 PM on May 15, 2026.
