Processing, Marketing, and Sale of Recyclable Materials and Metals

The City of Edinburg's Department of Solid Waste Management is seeking bids from qualified entities for comprehensive services related to recyclable materials and metals. This includes the receiving, sorting, processing, storing, marketing, selling, and transporting of these materials collected from the City's Drop Off Center, Commercial Recycling Collection Program, and Office Recycling Programs. The contract will be for an initial term of one year, with potential for extension. The City estimates approximately 904 tons of recyclable materials annually, including various types of paper, plastics, glass, and metals. The selected vendor will be responsible for processing these materials at approved facilities and marketing them to achieve a fair market price for the City. The vendor must provide detailed monthly reports and invoices, including weight tickets and market price information. Subcontracting requires written consent from the City.
