Description

This is a Design-Build (DB) / Design-Bid-Build (DBB) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) action for facilities in the New London, CT/Newport, RI Area of Responsibility (AOR). The project involves full repairs to Building 1372, Ripley Hall, located at Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI. Key repairs include: * Replacement of rooftop mechanical equipment, including eight make-up air units and seventeen exhaust fans. * Replacement of thermostats in berthing spaces and common areas, with new thermostats integrated into the existing building automation system (BAS). * Installation of a wainscoting system in hallways, with repainting of the walls above. * Replacement of ceiling tiles in hallways and common spaces. * Replacement of the southside entrance door, hardware, and structural framing. * Replacement of vinyl floor tiles in hallways and common spaces with Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT). * Replacement of ceramic tiles on the quarterdeck with a wood-grain tile system. * Replacement of carpeting and tiles in six offices with the same wood-grain tile system. * Replacement of treads in the south stairwell and repair/repainting of the stairwell walls. * Installation of electronic CAC card readers for main doors and mechanical cipher locks on berthing space doors. * Replacement of smoke detectors in berthing spaces and other locations. * An optional task for the replacement and relocation of the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) to the Quarterdeck. The estimated budget for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The contract completion time is 420 calendar days from the date of award, including the design period.
