Installation of Pallet Racking and Metal Furniture

Federal Prison Industries (FPI), operating as UNICOR, is seeking information regarding potential contractors for installation services. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather industry insights to help structure a future Request for Proposal (RFP) for the installation of various metal storage and furniture systems. The scope of work includes the installation of new pallet racking, storage cabinets, lockers, military and institutional metal furniture, and other metal storage systems. It may also involve the demolition and removal of obsolete systems, as well as retrofitting, upgrading, and repairing existing configurations. The services are intended to maximize cube utilization, improve safety compliance with NFPA and UFC codes, and enhance inventory accuracy for UNICOR's customers. The potential contract structure is anticipated to be a base period plus four option years. Installations will occur at various government sites throughout the Indo-Pacific region, Europe, and the United States, with specific locations to be identified in individual delivery orders. The primary place of performance for the overall contract is El Reno, OK, but actual work will be at customer sites.
