Walking Track Improvement Project

The City of Philadelphia, Mississippi is soliciting bids for the construction of walking track improvements in Northside Park. The project generally consists of asphalt paving and related items. The contract duration is 60 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages assessed for each day beyond the specified contract time. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and possess a current Certificate of Responsibility. A bid bond or certified check equal to five percent of the bid is required. The successful bidder will also need to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each for 100 percent of the contract amount. The project is funded through a Recreational Trails Program Grant administered by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fishers, and Parks. Minority and women's business enterprises are encouraged to bid and explore subcontracting opportunities.
