Description

The New York City Department of Education is seeking proposals from experienced organizations and individuals to deliver math-related services and professional development. This initiative aims to ensure the effective implementation of the Next Generation Math Learning Standard (NGMLS) aligned mathematics instruction for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. The goal is to provide support to schools, districts, boroughs, and central offices as needed to support the implementation of the NGMLS and the aligned resources needed to improve student achievement as measured by the NGMLS-aligned NYS assessments. Professional development should support schools and teachers regarding the NGMLS implementation, including conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, problem solving, and communication. The efficient and effective use of data to inform instructional practices and the use of resources is a key component. There are three components to this solicitation, and proposers may address any or all of them. The components are: Mathematics Professional Development, Mathematics Consultants/Coaches, and Direct Services to Students.
