]fy26 savannah inner harbor maintenance dredging project
The Savannah District Corps of Engineers is issuing this Sources Sought notice to gather market information regarding potential contractors capable of performing maintenance dredging on the FY26 Savannah Inner Harbor project. This is a request for information only and does not constitute a solicitation. The project involves furnishing personnel, transportation, equipment, and materials for maintenance dredging, with an expected duration of one year. The work will focus on removing up to 5.6 million cubic yards of material from the Savannah Inner Harbor, including the Kings Island Turning Basin, which requires annual dredging. The project is located in Georgia and South Carolina, within the Savannah Harbor navigation project. Contractors will need to coordinate with other entities working in the area and place dredged material in designated upland confined disposal areas. Environmental windows, including those for striped bass spawning and dissolved oxygen levels, will limit the timing of dredging operations. The contract may also include options for dredging sediments with cadmium and using dredged material as cap material, subject to government testing and special handling conditions. Obstructions may be encountered and must be removed by the contractor.
