Linen Services for Lehigh County Coroner's Office

The County of Lehigh is seeking quotes for linen services to support the Coroner's Office, located at 4350 Broadway, Allentown, PA 18104. The services include providing an estimated weekly supply of various linen items such as multipurpose towels, bath towels, underpads, precaution gowns, and bed sheets. The contractor will be responsible for supplying carts and hampers for soiled linen and plastic bags. Basic laundry tasks such as pickup and loading of soiled linens, delivery and unloading of clean linens, sorting, washing, drying, processing clean linen (folding, bundling, stacking, inventorying, repairing), and delivering clean linens on carts will be required. Pickups and deliveries will occur on a weekday agreed upon by the Coroner's Office, between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, with arrangements to be made for rescheduling due to holidays or closures. The contractor must be available to provide an extra week's supply of linen with 24-hour notice. Delivery tickets with the date and items delivered will be required, and an authorized signature will be obtained for each delivery. All items must be processed to industry standards, cleaned, sanitized, free of stains and mildew, and completely dry. Unacceptable items will be returned for reprocessing at no charge. Quantities are estimates and may fluctuate. Samples may be requested within five business days of notification.
