Ball State University is soliciting sealed bids for the Park Hall Pond Renovation project. This public works project requires contractors to provide all necessary equipment, labor, and materials. The scope of work includes pond dewatering and dredging, fish relocation, earthwork, erosion control, salvage, cleaning, and resetting of the existing limestone wall, construction of a new cast-in-place wall with limestone veneer, and upgrades to the water feature system. Bidding documents are available electronically and can be obtained from Ball State University's Purchasing Services. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 1, 2026, at 9:00 AM EDT at the Service & Stores building. Bids are due by 11:00 AM EDT on June 16, 2026, and will be opened and read aloud at that time. Bids must be submitted on the Contractors Bid For Public Works Form 96 and accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond for at least 5 percent of the total bid price. The successful contractor will be required to furnish an acceptable surety bond in the full contract amount. Compliance with Indiana state laws regarding public works contracts, including training programs, document preservation, and worker misclassification, is mandatory. Contractors must also enroll in and verify employee work eligibility through the E-Verify Program. Ball State University reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
