The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) requires hazardous waste removal and disposal services for its Plant Pest Diagnostics Branch (PPDB). This service is essential for the routine removal and disposal of chemical and hazardous waste in compliance with stringent regulations from the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal EPA), the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Services will include consultation for waste classification and containerization, determination of proper waste streams, transportation, labor, and supply packaging. Pick-ups are scheduled on a quarterly basis and as needed on an on-call basis. The contractor must provide all labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, insurance, permits, and licenses necessary for lawful pick-up, transport, and disposal of pesticide waste products. All services must adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, and scheduled pick-ups are to occur Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, excluding state holidays. The contractor must also hold a HAZ - HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES REMOVAL certification.
