Description

This opportunity concerns updates to the NY-Sun Commercial & Industrial Incentive Program, specifically Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 3082, revised effective September 30, 2025. The program manual has been updated to include revisions regarding capacity sizes, contractor requirements, customer reference requirements, and the introduction of the Solar Energy Equity Framework (SEEF) Blocks. Additionally, there are changes to incentive eligibility for non-residential replacement systems, updates to the Affordable Solar Residential Incentive requirements, and clarifications on eligibility for the Multifamily Affordable Housing Incentive (MAHI) and the Statewide Solar for All (S-SFA) Adder. Inclusive Community Solar Adder incentives are now available for community distributed generation (CDG) solar projects serving low-to-moderate income (LMI) subscribers, affordable housing, and other facilities serving disadvantaged communities. While the Commercial/Industrial MW blocks are fully allocated, C/I Projects may still apply for the Landfill/Brownfield Incentive Adder, remaining Community Adder capacity for Orange & Rockland and Central Hudson, and the Inclusive Community Solar Adder. Larger projects cannot be subdivided to obtain a higher nonresidential incentive. RNM/RC does not require a customer, and CDG projects without the Community Adder can convert to RC. Further details on application and invoice requirements for CDG projects are available.
