Modern Equipment for Biomedical Research Facilities
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES
The Department of Health and Human Services is inviting eligible academic or research institutions to apply for funding to acquire the latest scientific equipment. This funding aims to enhance and modernize the research-supporting operations of existing shared biomedical research facilities, including laboratory research core facilities, animal research facilities, and similar shared-use spaces. The objective is to strengthen research-auxiliary activities and improve the efficiency of these facilities. This opportunity specifically excludes the purchase of scientific research instruments, their components, or building-level infrastructure equipment that indirectly supports research. Eligible applicants include various institutions such as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic-serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISISs), Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs), U.S. Territory or Possession, Faith-based or Community-based Organizations, Regional Organizations, and public and state institutions of higher education. Foreign organizations and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible.
