Description

This project involves the repair, replacement, or refurbishment of the fire alarm and mass notification systems for Hangars 407 and 421 at McLaughlin Air National Guard Base in Charleston, West Virginia. The work requires the contractor to design and install a new addressable fire alarm system in Building 421, while reusing the existing Siemens fire alarm panel in Building 407. A new mass notification system will be added to the existing Siemens fire alarm control panel. All work must comply with NFPA 72 and Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) standards, and installation must be performed by NICET Level II or higher certified technicians. The project includes removing existing conventional fire alarm system components and associated wiring, and re-using existing conduit where possible. The contractor will also be responsible for 100% system testing and providing documentation of satisfactory testing.
