Water Supply Well No. 9 Construction

The City of Starkville is soliciting bids for the construction of Water Supply Well No. 9 (REBID), Project Number 240008. The project involves grading, constructing a gravel road and pad site, drilling a water supply well, and installing a water supply pump, two chemical buildings, chemical feed systems, associated yard piping, and electrical/controls. The maximum time for project completion is 360 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. A 100% Payment and Performance Bond is required for bids of $25,000 or more. Proposals must include a 5% Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check. Bidders must comply with the City's non-discrimination policy. For bids of $50,000 or more, a Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi State Board of Contractors is required on the envelope, or as an attachment for electronic bids. Bid documents can be obtained from www.cityofstarkvilleplans.org. Bids are due by 10:00 A.M. local time on June 24, 2026, and can be submitted electronically via the website or mailed/hand-delivered to the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 110 West Main Street, Starkville, Mississippi 39759. Bids submitted by email or fax will not be accepted. Preference will be given to resident contractors in accordance with Mississippi law. The successful bidder must demonstrate the ability to obtain required insurance and must give preference to materials manufactured within the State of Mississippi, provided they are of equal or better quality and cost compared to out-of-state materials. Materials manufactured outside the United States are prohibited unless unavailable.
