The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) is seeking a Community Resource Navigator to support the Watts community. This role involves coordinated outreach, referrals, and sanitation efforts, harmonizing built environment and economic wellness activities. The Navigator will assist residents in accessing community resources, support blight reduction efforts, and promote financial literacy. A key responsibility will be developing and maintaining a bilingual (English/Spanish) electronic resource guide for local services, including financial well-being, mental health, civic engagement, workforce development, and community sanitation. The Navigator will also be stationed in key community locations, participate in financial literacy trainings, track service referrals in a centralized database, and conduct trainings for residents on using the MyLA311 app for reporting dumping. Additionally, the role includes attending monthly Sanitation Task Force meetings and providing feedback to HACLA and Watts Rising. The proposed contract term is one year with two option terms.
