The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), on behalf of the Office of Safety and Youth Development (OSYD), is seeking proposals from experienced organizations to provide high-quality, direct support services to students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12. These services supplement regular classroom instruction and can be delivered during school hours, before/after school, on weekends, during breaks, or over the summer, aiming to create a safe and engaging environment that fosters educational enrichment and positive relationships with role models. Successful programs will contribute to students' academic achievement, healthy lifestyle choices, self-confidence, and personal growth. Proposed services include leadership development, individual and group counseling, mentoring, recreation, college/post-secondary planning, career awareness, conflict resolution, violence and bullying prevention, substance abuse intervention, internet safety, school attendance improvement, and family support services. Additionally, academic enrichment services such as tutoring, homework assistance, study/test-taking skills, academic skills enhancement, thematic projects, and family literacy are sought.
