Tree Equity Program Services

The City of Markham is soliciting proposals for tree acquisition and planting, pruning, and removal services for its Tree Equity Program. Proposers can bid on any one service, a combination of services, or all services. The selected firm will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to perform these services within the city limits, adhering to industry standards and all applicable regulations. The City reserves the right to make multiple awards or a single award. To obtain the RFP and relevant forms, interested parties must email both the City Administrator at dchampion@cityofmarkham.net and the City Engineer at anketia@a2n-group.com. The RFP will also be available on the City of Markham website (www.cityofmarkham.net) starting April 29, 2026. All questions must be submitted in writing to the City Administrator and City Engineer by 5:00 PM on May 8, 2026. Responses will be issued via addendum by May 10, 2026. Proposers must employ or retain at least one Illinois ISA Certified Arborist and have access to a Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) Certified Arborist for removal work. All work must comply with ANSI A300 standards. Proof of certifications is required with the proposal. The City encourages minority business participation.
