Electric Arc Furnace Removal, Acquisition, and Installation

This solicitation seeks services for the removal, acquisition, and installation of an electric arc furnace at the Rock Island Arsenal - Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC). The resulting contract will be a Firm Fixed Price agreement. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for May 8, 2026, at 8:00 AM Central Time at RIA-JMTC. Attendees must pre-register at least two business days in advance and will need to enter through the Moline, IL gate. Visitors must obtain an installation visitor badge by pre-registering with the Contract Specialist and Visitors Center at least 30 minutes prior to the site visit. Acceptable forms of identification for U.S. Citizens include a State-issued picture ID or a federally issued picture ID. Foreign Visitors will need a Passport, Visa Number, or Alien Registration. All attendees are required to wear steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses.
