2026 Fibermat Installation Project

Heidelberg Township, York County, Pennsylvania is soliciting sealed proposals for the "2026 Fibermat Project" (MS 944). The project involves providing all necessary equipment, labor, and installation of approximately 9,856 square yards of Fibermat. This includes the furnishing and placement of a bituminous fiber-reinforced seal coat in accordance with PennDOT Publication 447. Contractors are required to submit a seal coat design for PennDOT's review two weeks prior to the start date. Bidders are advised to contact the Township Representative prior to bidding to confirm the exact work location. The bids will be opened electronically via the PennBid Program (www.pennbid.net) on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM prevailing time. Bid results are expected by the end of the business day on the same date. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. This contract is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Heidelberg Township anticipates awarding the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder at their June 3, 2026 meeting.
