Description
The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas is soliciting proposals for generator preventive maintenance and repair services. This contract will cover all City locations and facilities listed in the Generator List attachment. The selected contractor will be responsible for performing two planned maintenance visits per year for each generator: one full system check with oil and filter changes (Annual Service), and one additional full system check six months later (Semi-Annual Inspection). The scope of work includes detailed inspections of the cooling, lube oil, air filter, engine fuel, engine starting, engine air induction and exhaust, and generator systems. A two-hour full load bank test for each generator is required during the Annual Service. Any defective items identified must not be replaced without prior authorization from the Facilities Operations Manager, and a detailed quote for necessary repairs must be submitted. Comprehensive reports on test results, generator condition, and recommendations are required. Repair services may be engaged for non-emergency situations, with defective components such as spark plugs, filters, belts, hoses, batteries, starters, voltage regulators, and control modules being repaired or replaced using OEM or equivalent parts. The contract will be for one year with four twelve-month option terms, subject to annual budget approval.
