Description
Carteret County Government is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive services for their fleet of four county-owned emergency standby generators. These services include preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, emergency repairs, and related support. The scope of work encompasses quarterly inspections and maintenance, annual major services (including engine and fuel system servicing), and on-demand repair services. The generators are located in Newport, Morehead City, and Beaufort, North Carolina, with capacities ranging from 100kW to 350kW. The county reserves the right to add or remove generators from the contract through amendments. Key requirements include detailed reporting of inspection findings, maintenance performed, and recommended corrective actions. The contractor must also be available for emergency response and troubleshooting. The contract term is one year, with five one-year renewal options at the discretion of Carteret County Government.
