Description
The City of Albany, Oregon is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive emergency vehicle fleet maintenance services. This includes routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and fleet management for fire engines, ambulances, brush rigs, rescue vehicles, water tenders, aerial apparatus, and similar vehicles. The objective is to ensure the Fire Department's fleet remains in a constantly ready state to respond to over 10,000 emergency calls annually. The scope of work includes monitoring and scheduling preventative maintenance according to NFPA Standards and manufacturer recommendations, tracking service and repair costs, advising on replacement schedules, assisting with new vehicle acquisition specifications, and providing warranty advocacy. Services must be available 24/7/365 for emergency repairs, and routine maintenance should be scheduled in advance. The contractor will be responsible for picking up and returning vehicles to City facilities, though the City reserves the right to deliver vehicles to the contractor's location. All materials used must be new, with rebuilt or remanufactured parts requiring approval. The contract term is for five years, with the option to extend for two additional one-year terms.
