Description
The County of Ocean is soliciting bids for a contractor to supply antifreeze, oils, and lubricants. The goal is to ensure the availability of high-quality lubricants to prevent premature wear and failure of county equipment, supporting fleet standardization, operational compatibility, and consistent maintenance practices. Deliveries are to be made F.O.B. to various County of Ocean locations, including the Vehicle Services Department and Vehicle Services Warehouse in Toms River, the Manahawkin Vehicle Services Garage, and the Transportation Services Garage in Manchester. All deliveries must be made within 48 hours after receipt of order (A.R.O.). All products offered must meet or exceed the performance requirements, classifications, and approvals stated in the specifications. Bidders must be authorized dealers of the brand manufacturer and provide manufacturer certification upon request. Products must be performance-branded, and blended products are not acceptable. Virgin stock must be used in the formulation of the final product where specified. Products must meet OEM specifications for use in equipment from Daimler Chrysler, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Toyota Motor Corporation, Honda Motor Corporation, and North American Truck Manufacturers. Bidders must submit complete manufacturer product data/specification sheets with their bid proposal. If a specification is not fully addressed, a letter from the manufacturer's technical representative is required. The County reserves the right to require additional testing or verification to confirm compliance. The contractor is responsible for any equipment damaged due to defective products and for replacing non-conforming products at no additional cost. Product substitutions require written acceptance from the County.
