Description
This notice concerns the Department of Veterans Affairs' intent to award a sole source contract to Optum Pharmacy for hazardous drug compounding and delivery services to the NJHCS Toms River, NJ Campus. The contractor will be responsible for preparing prescriptions according to recognized pharmacy regulatory guidelines, including USP 797 and USP 800, and FDA sanitary regulations, utilizing aseptic technique. Shipping must comply with manufacturer requirements for drug stability and refrigeration, with packaging clearly labeled as hazardous. Final products must be delivered to the Toms River facility by 8:00 AM on the day of treatment and be compatible with specified closed system transfer devices and administration tubing.
