Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is requesting information and comments from industry regarding the ability to provide a non-developmental or commercial-off-the-shelf device. This device will serve as an interface between the MQ-4C Triton Aircraft and the Getac X500G3 Ruggedized Laptop, also known as the Dynamic Information Notebook Organizer (DINO). The current interface device is integrated into the DINO laptop's chassis. However, PMA-260 and PMA-262 are pursuing a common laptop solution across multiple aircraft platforms that requires a separate, independent interface device. This Aircraft-to-Computer Interface Device (ACID) aims to simplify and improve the manageability of laptop configurations while maintaining aircraft interface compatibility. The interfaces must also be ruggedized. Industry feedback is requested on a draft specification for the ACID, focusing on feasibility and potential alternative solutions. Responses should include administrative and technical information, such as company experience, proposed solutions, technical capabilities, rough order of magnitude cost and schedule estimates, and potential risks. Specific technical characteristics required include operation under MIL-STD-810H, a specific humidity range, and various I/O interfaces such as USB Type A 3.0, HDMI, VGA, Thunderbolt 3.0, MIL-STD-1553B, and Ethernet ports.
