Submission Instructions
Description
The Township of Toms River is requesting qualifications from vendors capable of providing part-time Municipal Public Defender services. The Township may award contracts to up to three (3) Municipal Public Defenders. Each court session will utilize two of the awarded firms, with schedules to be made by the Township Court Administrator. Bills shall be submitted on a monthly basis to the Court Administrator. The established rate for a conflict public defender is $350.00 per court session, not to exceed $50,000 annually per Public Defender. The contract shall commence on the Date of Award for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months. The method of award will be based on the vendor(s) considered most advantageous to the Township, with funds being encumbered each time services are requested, contingent upon the availability of funds.
