Description
The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) intends to procure proprietary software licenses from Newsela for a period of three years, covering Fiscal Years 2026 through 2029. The software includes the All Access PD Pass, ELA, Science, Social Studies, and Writing products. Newsela is identified as the sole source provider for its unique instructional content platform, which features content from partners such as the Associated Press, The Washington Post, National Geographic, Scientific American, and the Smithsonian Institution. This content is exclusively accessible through the Newsela platform and is protected by copyright and trademark. The platform offers differentiated reading levels, embedded formative assessments, and close reading tools that can be customized to specific curricular goals. No other educational SaaS solution provides the same unique combination of content, service, and functionality.
