Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) St. Petersburg Coastal Marine Science Center requires the purchase of two CEE Hydro Systems CEESCOPE portable single-beam echosounders. This equipment is essential for conducting active research and modeling of coastal hazards and ecosystems, including surveying seafloor elevations and substrate composition. The data collected will be used to advance USGS numerical models of coastal storms, waves, and flooding impacts, and to detect geomorphological changes. The CEESCOPE is a GPS-integrated, portable, shallow-water, high-sampling rate echosounder. It is noted for its portability, integrated survey-grade GNSS receiver, self-contained control box, internal logging with HYPACK acquisition software integration, high sampling rate, and minimum operating depth of 15cm. The USGS already owns two of these systems and requires two additional units to enable simultaneous surveys in different locations and to serve as replacements. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) with NAICS code 334511 and a size standard of 1,350 employees. The Buy American Act applies, and vendors must comply with all applicable domestic sourcing requirements. Section 508 accessibility standards and FISMA IT security guidelines are also applicable.
