Description
The Marine Corps Field Contracting System intends to award a sole source contract to Data Security, Inc. for preventative maintenance and an extended warranty for their Solid-State Media Disintegrator (SSMD) equipment. Data Security, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the SSMD and is the only provider for these specific maintenance and warranty services. This procurement aims to extend the service life of the existing SSMD units. The current extended warranty for the SSMD expires on September 14, 2026. The contract action is under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, and the determination for other than full and open competition is based on Data Security, Inc. having established proprietary rights and being the exclusive licensing agreement holder for these services.
