Description
The City of Sandersville Water Department is soliciting bids for the installation of approximately 2,800 feet of 6-inch C900 waterline and six hydrant assemblies. The project involves laying pipe along the county right-of-way from N. Anderson Drive to Anderson Lane, connecting to existing water mains, and installing valves at each tie-end connection. The contractor will also be responsible for placing fire hydrants with valves every 500 feet, ensuring proper installation and functionality. Following the installation of piping, hydrants, and fixtures, and after the line has been tested for pressure and chlorinated, the contractor will repair and overlay the project area with 1.5 inches of asphalt paving and restripe the road. The contractor is responsible for acquiring all necessary permits, performing locates, and managing traffic control, with road closures requiring 48 hours advance notice to the Public Works Director. The contractor must also provide proof of insurance, including Workmen's Compensation, Comprehensive General Liability ($1,000,000 per person, $1,000,000 each occurrence for bodily injury; $1,000,000 each occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate for property damage), and Comprehensive Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 per person, $1,000,000 each occurrence for bodily injury; $1,000,000 each occurrence for property damage).
