Description
The City of Port Angeles is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide recycling services for rubber products at the Port Angeles Transfer Station. The objective is to establish an efficient, cost-effective, and safe method for collecting, transporting, and processing recyclable rubber materials for the city's residents. The selected firm will be responsible for providing an open-top trailer, at least 28 feet in length with a minimum capacity of 2260 cubic feet, to be placed on-site. City staff will load the trailer, and the selected proposer must remove and replace the full trailer with an empty one within 5 days of notification. Services include the processing of various rubber products such as automobile, motorcycle, and truck tires, as well as rubber belting, flaps, and inner tubes. Ownership of all recycled rubber materials will transfer to the successful proposer upon acceptance. The contract will be for a three-year term with the option to renew for one additional year.
