Description
EPB is soliciting proposals from qualified electrical contractors to perform comprehensive turnkey services for the conversion of approximately six miles of overhead electric power lines to underground infrastructure. The scope of work includes managing and scheduling all project activities, coordinating traffic flagging operations, maintaining active 1-call notifications, and collaborating with EPB on material procurement, customer outage management, and conflict resolution. This project is supported by a Department of Energy GRIP grant, and all labor performed must adhere to Davis-Bacon wage requirements. The primary objective of this initiative is to improve grid resilience and reliability through the strategic implementation of undergrounding electrical systems.
