Description
The United States Naval Academy requires continuing resource hosting fees for several primary source databases. These databases are essential for faculty and midshipmen research in the humanities and social sciences and are currently licensed content from Cengage Learning/Gale. The specific databases include Gale in Context: Opposing Viewpoints, Gale Literature Resource Center, Nineteenth Century U.S. Newspapers Hosting Fee, Punch Historical Archive, 17th and 18th Century Burney Newspapers Collection Hosting Fee, The Times Literary Supplement Historical Archive, Times Digital Archive, and U.S. Declassified Documents. The period of performance is from September 26, 2026, to September 25, 2027. This procurement is being conducted on a sole-source basis because Cengage Learning/Gale exclusively owns and copyrights this content, and only they can enter into license agreements. Furthermore, these resources are direct continuations of previously licensed content and are critical for ongoing research, with no suitable replacements available.
