Description
The Town of Mathiston is requesting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for work related to the implementation of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Economic Development Initiative (EDI) project(s) concerning water improvements. These improvements include a water well, an elevated water tank, and water distribution lines. The selected engineer will be responsible for all engineering services through project closeout, adhering to federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. The scope of work encompasses preparing plans and specifications, distributing bid documents, assisting in bid opening and tabulation, aiding in construction contract execution, holding a pre-construction conference, and performing construction inspection, including periodic reports to the Town and approving all payment requests. The Town encourages Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Section 3 eligible businesses to submit proposals. Proposals will be evaluated based on Qualifications (40 points), Experience (40 points), and Capacity for Performance (20 points). The contract will be on a fixed-price basis.
