Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement only, used to gather information for potential future acquisition decisions regarding 12 Surfacide UVC Decontamination Emitter units for the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334510, Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The solicitation may be subject to Limitations on Subcontracting, Service Contract Labor Standards, and the Nonmanufacturer Rule. The required supply is a Brand Name Only product: Surfacide UVC Decontamination Emitters. These must be FDA-cleared Class II medical devices for Whole Room Microbial Reduction, utilizing a continuous 254nm wavelength UV-C system. Key requirements include the ability to combine multiple emitters into a single system, operate unattended, deliver effective doses, overcome shadows, and incorporate a UV-C concentrator. The system should also feature a pause function, targeted microbial reduction, remote control from outside the room, motion sensors for safety, Bluetooth connectivity to a tablet, and LTE Wi-Fi for cloud connectivity.
