Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items to acquire one fully automated osmometer system for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at the Birmingham VA Health Care System. The requested equipment will replace an outdated, end-of-life system that is no longer supported by the manufacturer for parts, repair, or service. The new system should improve operational efficiency through automation features, including barcode scanning, reduced manual pipetting, direct primary tube sampling, continuous loading, and Laboratory Information System (LIS) interface capability. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to furnish, deliver, install, validate, and train government personnel on the system. This includes all required accessories, consumables, installation, validation support, warranty documentation, and technical support. Delivery, installation, validation, and training must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of award. The contract type will be Firm-Fixed-Price.
