Description
This solicitation is for the replacement of two hot water heaters in the main building at U.S. Coast Guard Station Grand Isle. The contractor will be responsible for replacing the existing water heaters with suitable on-demand replacements, installing a new hot water circulation pump, and installing a commercial neutralization tank with a natural gas fuel source. The new system must have a thermal efficiency of no less than 80 and a recovery rate of at least 193.8 U.S. GPH. The work includes installing proper piping insulation and brackets for exhausts, discharges, and inlets of the water heaters. The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract awarded to the offeror with the lowest price. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238220, with a small business size standard of $16.5M. This is an 8(a) set-aside for small businesses.
