Description
This solicitation is for the installation of two 48" commercial Vent-a-Hoods with integrated fire suppression systems above two residential 30" stove/cooktops in a classroom at the Giddings State Juvenile Correctional Facility. The Vent-a-Hoods must vent through the exterior CMU block wall and include at least one light. The fire suppression system must have a manual pull, shut off power to the stoves upon activation, and be tied into the existing fire alarm system. The contractor will be responsible for running the necessary electrical connections from the breaker panel. The system must comply with NFPA 96 and UL 300 standards, and all electrical work must meet NEC requirements. Site visits are encouraged, and background checks will be required for entry into the facility.
