Description
Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is soliciting bids from local businesses within Arizona to provide a variety of locally grown, produced, and/or processed foods. The contract is intended to be a single-year agreement, renewable annually through June 30, 2027, with purchases made via purchase orders. The scope of work includes the consistent and timely delivery of quality fresh, frozen, or dry local food items to the TUSD Food Services Central Warehouse. Vendors must demonstrate dedication and experience in providing local foods to school districts or similar entities, along with evidence of organizational capacity and qualifications. Specific product requirements include whole grain-rich options for student meals, with an emphasis on avoiding certain ingredients such as potassium bromate, propylparaben, and artificial colors. Vendors are encouraged to submit pricing for a variety of food items, including baked goods and beverages for catering services, and must adhere to FOB Destination pricing. Deliveries are to be made to the TUSD Food Services Central Warehouse at 2150 E 15th Street, Tucson, AZ, 85719, during receiving hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. No fuel surcharges or added delivery charges will be accepted. The district reserves the right to award multiple contracts to ensure timely delivery, variety, and competitive pricing.
